FTCCI organises 3-km ‘Health for All’ walkathon

Hyderabad: The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI), a leading trade and industrial body has organised a 3 km walkathon on Sunday. Organised by the Health Committee of FTCCI, the walkathon was themed as Health for All: Healthy Telangana and Happy Telangana. Around 250 people from across the city participated in the event. The walk began at Rotary Park near Hussain Sagar Lake, went up to the Secretariat and returned to the place it was started.
Meela Jayadev, President of FTCCI, said: “Make every step count on the journey to a healthier you. Walks like these are very important and must be organized at regular intervals to encourage industrialists, people working in the industries in particular and the public in general to lead an active lifestyle.”
Shekhar Agarwal, Chair, Health Committee of FTCCI, said: “If you want to run your business efficiently and effectively, you must be healthy. So, if you want to run your business, you must better walk, run or ride and keep fit. Healthy people run healthy industries.” The event saw the involvement of the city’s most sought-after doctors. Padma Shri Dr Gokhale, Dr Prashant Garg, Director, L V Prasad Eye Institute; Dr Sreenivasulu, Director MNJ Institute of Oncology; Dr Dwarkanath. President-Elect Indian Medical Association; Dr Srikanth Babu, Chief of Govt Ayurveda College; Dr Bookhari, Chief of Govt Unani College; Dr Naresh, Asin Spine Hospital; Dr Veena and several others participated.
Several other professionals - Dr Subodh, Dean, Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), Suresh Singhal, Ravi Kumar, Vice Presidents of FTCCI, Ajay Mishra IAS (Retd) and several past presidents of FTCCI -Bhaskar Reddy, Srinivas Ayyadevara, Anil Agarwal, Anil Reddy, participated. Several members of the Vasavi Club, Decathlon, staff of FTCCI, and their vendors also participated in the walk.
